MAJOR CHANGES AT PLAYBOX APPOINTS NEW ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Playbox Theatre announce that the Executive Management Team of the company restructure from 1st May 2012 as follows:

•Emily Jane Quash becomes Artistic Director of Playbox Theatre

•Mary King remains Founding & Executive Director

•Stewart McGill takes on the new role of Creative Advisor to Playbox Theatre and continues to head the Shakespeare Young Company. Stewart remains joint director of Playbox Theatre Ltd.
The Executive Management Restructure strengthens the leadership of the company and prepares Playbox Theatre for the next exciting phase of its development. Plans are in place for an epic 2012-13 season, to be announced shortly, and the first full season conceived by Emily will take place in 2014. (Read more)

Did you know Playbox Theatre offers young people aged 5-21 training in dance? Our popular Dancebox programme, directed by Kat Osborn, will expand in the new season. You can see current members in action at The Park, our special summer festival which takes place 2nd - 14th July (full schedule available shortly). From September there will also be a new performance company devoted to making new work, in addition to the current Dancebox programme.
